What AUD$ Means

AUD$ means that the price is given in Australian dollars. Unless we specifically state otherwise, all prices are in Australian dollars. To give some indication, in October 2007 1 US dollar was worth almost 1.3 Australian dollars. You can check out current conversion rates at Yahoo's Currency Conversion page

Payment Options

You can pay for your purchases online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Bankcard. If you are not comfortable making purchases over the internet with a credit card or if you don't have a credit card, you can print an order form and mail it with your cheque to:

If paying by American Express a 3.6% INCL GST surcharge will be added to the current price.

Returns Policy

If the items you purchase do not meet your expectation, you may return it for a full refund or exchange.*

If you have a product you wish to return, please contact our Customer Service on (02) 9795 1200 where you will be allocated a Return Authority Number. Please attach a copy of this RA to the goods being returned. All returns must be addressed to CSIRO Shop c/o Blue Star, PO Box 88. Regents Park NSW 2143 Australia.

Goods must be returned in original condition and packaging within 14 days of delivery.
*We cannot accept returns of certain items, including:

  • Any printed material (unless part of a larger kit).
  • Double Helix DNA Model Kits.
  • DVD or CD software except where damaged.

Postage And Handling

CSIRO Educational products are shipped within Australia and Internationally.
All orders will be dispatched within 28 hours of receipt of order/payment, or clearance of cheque/payment.

All Australian purchases are inclusive of GST.

Australian Orders
Unless you pay for Courier Delivery (see below), our orders are sent via Australia Post.
All orders $8.50.
Please allow up to 14 working days for delivery.

Orders over $500
All Australia delivered orders above $500 are sent via courier for security and tracking at the same low cost. Make sure you include a valid courier street address, not a PO Box.

Express Postage Delivery Service within Australia
Orders under $100 that require urgent delivery can be expressed post for a cost of $25. An additional Express Courier service is available on request, please contact one of our customer service representatives (02) 9795 1200 to arrange Courier Delivery & to obtain prices.

Please allow at least 5 working days to receive the item. Please note that delivery times are not guaranteed and non-receipt of items within specified timeframes will not be accepted as a reason for return.

International Orders
International Shipping is by Air Mail to New Zealand and the Asia/Pacific Region; and by Sea Mail to all other parts of the world. Shipping costs (AUD$) are shown below.

$1-$50 = $15.00
$50-$100 = $22.00
Over $100 = $30.00
Over $250 = $45.00
Over $500 = $65.00

Please allow up to 20 working days to New Zealand and the Asia/Pacific Region.
Please allow up to 2 months for the rest of the world.
